Born and raised in Naples, Tommy started working summers for his grandfather before he could even drive. Although his first job was sweeping up, he observed everything that happened on the jobsite and soon learned other parts of the trade, and worked his way up in the company. After graduating from the University of Florida’s Construction Management program in 2005, Tommy returned as a full time Project Manager. Tommy has worked on a wide variety of projects and enjoys the design-build projects where you truly see the project thru from concept to completion. In 2013, Tommy officially purchased the company from his father and business partner, and is now the sole owner and President of Houchin Construction, Inc. Tommy and his wife have two children, and he enjoys fishing and the Florida weather when he is not at work.

Born and raised in Southwest Florida, Josh was first introduced to drafting by taking a course in high school. After a part time job as a draftsman, he decided to study design in college, receiving his Bachelors of Design and Masters of Architecture from the University of Florida. While interning with a local architectural firm, Josh found he enjoyed the construction management side of work, so he was excited to join Houchin Construction when the opportunity arose. Josh’s education and experience allow him to visualize a project from the 2D drawings and help clients to do the same. He enjoys being part of the mystery that goes into creating new and interesting projects. When he’s not at work, Josh can be found trying new restaurants with his girlfriend, spending time with friends and family, or working out.

Originally from Ontario, Canada, Kiryn moved to Florida with her family at a young age. After receiving her Bachelors in Business from Western International University, her first job in the construction industry was working for a concrete subcontractor. While there, Kiryn expanded her administrative and accounting knowledge to include more construction specific procedures and standards. Kiryn’s analytical mind allows her to find practical solutions to everyday challenges. Always a puzzle lover, her favorite part of her job is reconciling the accounts: looking for the missing information and getting everything to add up. Kiryn enjoys cooking with her husband and reading and playing board games with her son and daughter.

Originally from Pittsburg, Jimmy got his start in construction on a framing crew building houses. After moving to Naples in 2000, he worked on several different types of projects, including erection of hangers at the Naples Airport. In 2002, Jimmy came on board at Houchin Construction as a Carpenter, but soon moved up to be a Superintendent. Jimmy’s attention to detail makes him a favorite to have on-site for many long-time customers. His favorite part of his job is building relationships with repeat clients and subcontractors. When he’s not at work, Jimmy is often still working hard on projects around his house or helping family or friends at theirs.

A native Floridian, Chad has always called Fort Myers home. He remembers helping is father with various home improvement projects, and as a teenager, working with his grandfather building an addition to his house. In the summers Chad started taking some odd construction jobs. After high school, he decided to stay with construction, and has worked in several different fields, from framing and carpentry to stucco and drywall, and even hurricane shutters. Chad’s varied background gives him a great understanding of the construction process from start to finish, and helps him keep the subcontractors on schedule by planning ahead. His favorite part of his job is learning new construction methods. When he’s not at work or the gym, Chad enjoys fishing with his brother and friends.

A native of New Jersey, Kristey grew up around her father’s construction business. Although she is the middle of three sisters, Kristey was always the organized one, helping out around the house and in her mom’s cleaning business. After receiving her Bachelors in Business Studies from Stockton University, Kristey put her organizational skills to work in a variety of office settings, honing her time management skills and learning the administrative side of running an efficient workplace. Kristey’s constant smile welcomes everyone who visits the office. Her favorite part of her job is seeing the progression of the projects when she downloads the weekly pictures. Kristey spends her time outside of work exploring Southwest Florida with her son and daughter.
